Productive Procrastination September 11, 2026
I will do anything except what I need to do :)
I have a task to do. However, if there are things that could be done that will make my overall task easier, those will be done first.
This goes back to my Grunt Work Principle.
Current example: I have to build a few websites. I've been updating CRUDGEON to be more generic as not just a CRUD generator, but to be like an application generator, to some extent. I've had my website boilerplate around for a bit, but I've been updating it to be more modern. Then I decided to do a website initiator project to work off of that repo (or a zip of that repo), and create the basic structure for me. Instead of forking the git repo, which I just don't want. I want things to be updated for me automatically, and while I could work against the fork, this seemed better. (I don't want all of that git history in every project going forward, for one).
Anyway, I liked the phrase “productive procrastination” and needed it on my website :D
